Description
Description
Spikenard represents worship and praise. Nard is a rare and precious fragrant oil, which was used by Mary to anoint the head and feet of the Messiah, two days before His death, as recorded in John 12:3. "Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil." It speaks of the extravagant worship of the bride and of her intimacy with the Bridegroom, in total surrender and without regard for the cost. It symbolizes the bride who has made herself ready.
While the king is at his table, my spikenard sends forth its fragrance.
