The Ark of the Covenant:

The Ark of the Covenant (Hebrew: אֲרוֹן הַבְּרִית ʾaron hab’rit, modern aron habrit)
is described in the Bible (Exodus 25:10-22) as a sacred chest,
which contained the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, as well as Aaron's staff and the manna.
According to the biblical account, the Ark was built by God's command, in accordance with Moses'
prophetic vision on Mount Sinai (Exodus 25:9-10).
God communicated with Moses "from between the two cherubim" on the Mercy Seat of the Ark (Exodus 25:22).
The Ark and its sanctuary were "the beauty of Israel" (Lamentations 2:1).
Rashi and some Midrashim suggest that there were two arks: a temporary ark, made by Moses,
and a later one, made by Bezalel.
The Ark disappeared at some point and it is speculated that it could be hidden
in secret chambers beneath the remains of the Temple in Jerusalem or possibly in Ethiopia
sent there by King Solomon to protect it.
