Scented candle: Frankincense 3x4 (7.5x10 cm)

Frankincense and Myrrh represent healing and intercession. In the days of the Temple, the sweet incense of frankincense was placed on the inner altar of the Tabernacle and was burned there every morning and evening. It speaks of intercession. Myrrh was used for anointing the deceased and in purification rituals. It speaks of suffering and death, but also of our total deliverance in the atoning work of the Messiah. Frankincense and myrrh were two of the three prophetic gifts given to the Messiah at His birth. The scents represent His role as Priest and Prophet and emphasize all that the Messiah has done for us and continues to do on our behalf.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5

“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”
Hebrews 7:25
