Salving Oil: Agape - 2 Oz

Agape anointing oil is a reminder of God's love and the invitation to live from that love. The delicate scent combination of cassia, coriander, milk, and honey connects warm, spicy notes with a soft sweetness. The fragrances refer to ingredients and imagery we encounter in the Bible.

The meaning of Agape

Agape is a Greek word for love. In the New Testament, it is used for God's love and the love to which He calls us: love that gives, serves, and seeks the good of others. In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul describes this love as patient and kind, without self-interest.

This anointing oil forms a tangible reminder of that love during moments of prayer, devotion, and worship.

A fragrance with Biblical inspiration

• Cassia is mentioned in Exodus 30:24 as an ingredient of the holy anointing oil. Within this fragrance composition, cassia refers to devotion to God.
• Coriander recalls the manna with which God fed His people in the wilderness. Exodus 16:31 describes the manna as white and similar to coriander seed: a reminder of God's daily care.
• Milk and honey refer to the Biblical description of the promised land, including in Deuteronomy 31:20. They give this fragrance a sweet accent and remind us of God's goodness and provision.

Anointing oil for prayer and devotion

Use Agape anointing oil during personal prayer times or for anointing during prayer in the congregation. Anointing with oil is a visible sign of devotion and dependence on the Holy Spirit. In doing so, our faith is directed toward God: He is the One to Whom we pray and from Whom we expect everything.

The compact bottle is easy to carry and also suitable as a meaningful Christian gift.
